One thought, "oven clean" use the large alum foil across the grate surface, close the door and fire up the grill on high, and run it for 20-30 minutes. This should burn off any remaining noodle, then with a putty knife you can remove the rest.

This will burn any seasoning on your grates, so get some pork fat back on them before rust starts.
