To ask now "is it worth the money to get the s series?" is rather an exercise in futility isn't it?
Do you want people to say 'Oh yeah, you really blew it by holding on to that extra hundred bucks."
It is likewise futile to ask now "is there any other differences between the e series and the ep series?" What does it matter if there are? Next time, ask this question before you buy.
You spent what you were willing to spend on products the seller was willing to sell you for that money. You made a deal, you own a new grill.
You'd have these same sort of questions just from a different perspective had you spent more than you wanted and purchased the more expensive item.
My take is any time you think about whether you should spend more, IOW make a decision about spending more, you can't afford to spend more. You did the right thing. go eat a burger.
