I am not interested in side burners, nor do I need a huge cooking area. I just want something that cooks evenly and will last me more than a couple years"

why not buy a cheap ass grill every couple of years then?

I bought a covered charcoal grill with 14 x 14 grill for $6 three years ago - I'll use it again next year.

Allow me to repeat - $6.

If you get a $20 grill - hell let's get two of 'em and double your cook area and they last only 2 years each, in 10 years you will have spent $200. if you get a $400 grill and it lasts 10 years, you will have spent $400.

The math seems simple to me.
