I've got an Imperial 90 that I've been using for about three years. I'm pretty impressed with it. I don't believe they make this model anymore, but there is an equivalent (maybe Sovereign?) I probably grill 3-4 times a week on it and it grills to perfection. I've done everything, steaks, pizza, rotisserie Thanksgiving turkey, veggies, you name it. It's built solid and I'm anticipating that as long as it's well maintained, it should provide many years of delicious grilled food.
You can get a nice sear on steaks, it stays hot, and the grilling space is big enough to do a whole meal. Side burner is a nice option. I don't use it for sides all that often, but what it's good for is frying bacon and blackening food. Anything that I don't want the house to smell like.
Here in MO, the winters are very cold and I have no trouble getting the temperature I need. This is my first "nice" grill so I can't say how it compares to other grills in this price range, but I would recommend looking into Broil King.
