I recently used firewood on a Weber grill but the wood was taking way too long to turn into embers, and some of the firewood was just falling apart into ashes after burning, rather than becoming chunks of gray/red embers. I had to throw charcoal to save the barbecue.
Is this normal? Or was it because I had poor-quality firewood?
Where should I go to get quality firewood? I bought mine at a local supermarket.
Also, if firewood IS usable on a weber... how long does it take for the wood to turn into embers for grilling?
