I had a Lynx for a couple years and it was a great grill. I think both FM and Lynx are superior to DCS in most every way. Viking has the name, and I do not think they match up well with lynx or fm, although they make some nice units as well. If I was buying another gas grill now, I would likely get the FM - I just like the design a bit better. The Lynx has the pyramid briquettes in there, and while they do give a slightly smoky taste, I think the FM design works better. The FM has a much deeper belly (area under the burner) and I like their hood better. Both will last a lifetime - one is a SS burner, the other is cast red brass...BOTH of them are 1/4 inch thick (compare that to DCS or viking burners and you will see the vast difference). You cannot go wrong with fm or lynx..good luck!
