I've had a Summit S-670 for several months and am very happy with it. My previous gril (Char-Broil Proffesional) had the exact same cooking surface with two less burners (not including the Webers searing and smoker burners). Needless to say that the Weber heats up quicker and more evenly. The searing feature is very convenient. I've used it with everything from my veggies and fillets of fish to chops and thick steaks with quite a bit of success. I'm not sure if the model is an '09 or '08 but magnets do not stick to the stainless steel. The packaging did say it was made in China. I bought it at the Home Depot Expo before the stores closed and got a real bargain ($1800)so I didn't care either way. The knobs light up which may seem like a gimmack but I turn on when I cook dinner at night and I don't need additional lighting. I highly recommend this grill.
