I am in the market for a new grill in the ~$2500 range. I have had a Weber Genesis for the past 10 years so the Summit was going to be a no-brainer decision until I read that they went to a lesser quality steel with the 2009 models so now I'm confused. I even tried to confirm the materials question with Weber and the reply was that the material is "proprietary and confidential". What????
So here's what I'm thinking
AOG 36 Cart:
Pros - 304 steel, good warranty, made by FireMagic, 12k btu side burner, IR rotisserie burner, slightly larger primary cooking area
Cons - No local dealer where I can see it first. Is 48k BTU enough for a grill this size?
Weber S670
Pros - 60k BTU, good warranty, IR searer. Weber name brand has the bragging rights to my friends.
Cons - 430 steel and I think they're now made in China. Smoke box takes away some cooking space and I'll never use it since I have a smoker. Lower BTU side burner
HELP. Which would you get and why?
