Anyone out there familiar with these grills? I have the 2002 44inch model. All 304 stainless with features that blow away the current models of the Summit Series. It came with a LIFETIME warranty. Unfortunately, they quit making them the same year and now I need a new firebox because the piece that holds the flavorizer bars that is welded directly to the firebox has corroded and soon will not hold the bars. Weber says they quit making the fireboxes and have none in stock. They want to ship me a Summit, but it is nowhere near the same. When I asked for a refund of the purchase price, they tried to say there was "depreciation" that must be deducted. I argued that because of the lifetime warranty, there is no depreciation. They are discussing the problem with their legal department.
Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone recommend a quality 304 SS grill for around $3.500-4,000?
