I have both gas and charcoal grills and I used the charcoal grills probably 5 times to each time I use one of the gas grills. I like the charcoal flavor and the ability to add hard woods to my charcoal.

Why don't you consider upgrading your charcoal grill to a Weber One Touch 22" - the most versatile grill I can think of - you can probably find one on Craigslist for $30. It'll last you for freaking ever.

Then, keep checking on Craigslist for a Weber gas grill - any Weber gas grill other than the little toolboxed size "Go Anywhere". The Weber Q's with the cast iron grates are really good and if you're lucky you can find a full sized Weber Genesis for less than a couple hundred bucks.

There are other brands, sure, but I think Weber produces the best product, dollar for dollar, on the market.
