Hi, I am looking at a new weber grill. I have the option of either stainless steel or porcelain coated cooking grates. I understand that cast iron is better for searing, but SS may last longer. FYI, my grill is always outside.

The SS grates look heavy duty, will they sear as well as cast iron does.

Which grate should I choose and why.
