Cleaning Weber stainless grates

I just got a Weber stainless grill with stainless cooking grates. I love how the thing cooks, but the grates are a mess after a only few burgers and rib tips. They are very hard to scrap clean with a brush. Anyone got and tips on how to keep them shiny?
