Keep in mind that an IR grill is singular in use. It will not do low/slow, it will not bake or roast, it will only sear and ONLY if it has enough BTU. For that job I'm sure it's better than a regular gasser but for just great all around cooling you cannot beat a weber gasser for the $$$
