Well, I think someone in this discussion works for Weber grills! :) I really don't know what he means by "junky." Anyway, today I just bought myself a Blue Ember that I picked (easily) over Weber because of the smoke box, the rotisserie, and interior grill light. Haven't used it yet, but I tested and the motor DOES prevent the condiment lid from opening. I agree, that's a major design flaw. Here's a solution though: open the condiment lid BEFORE you attach the motor, switch from condiment insert to wine cooler insert, put your wine/beer on ice, then slide motor onto bracket and relax. Seriously, I grill hard all year round and take grilling seriously. I have no doubt I made the right choice here.
