Well, what you say is what a night of sleeping on it did for me. My wife and I sat down, discussed what we really needed and decided that new flavorizer bars was about the most I would spring for. Another thing that swayed me against doing it is that unlike the older Summits, these new Gold series use a similar cooking grate as the SS Genesis grates instead of the heavy duty SS welded rod grates. To upgrade to the SS rod grates would be 3 grates at $100 each.
