Leave brand new Weber Genesis Gold out for winter?

Just bought a Weber Genesis Gold B earlier this year. Love it... best grill ever.
I'm in Michigan -- should I leave it out on the patio for winter or put it in the garage? Am I shortening the life of the grill by leaving it out?
