When I was a teenager, my dad would cook a whole sirloin on the grill. I've never been able to find his recipe, but know the general technique.

He did some kind of rub over a mustard slather, I think. The meat gets seared on each side over a crazy hot fire until it is black and crusty. Then cook over indirect heat to a medium-rare temperature. 130*F.

Please let me know how your sirloin turns out.
