I have had this happen to me. If you cannot get it to light after you hook up a new propane tank then you should disconnect the tank and redo the install all over again screwing the plastic knob back onto the bottle. I did this because the guy at the propane place told me to try that first and low and behold it did do the trick. There is something about the new bottles and the way they hook up. There must be something that gets pushed in like a safety valve that doesn't always go right all the time. Since the first one I have had it happen about 2 more times. Good luck.
