My father has a 36 inch DCS grill. It works great. It gets hotter than the Weber, but I have cooked on his grill, and I honestly don't think it is better than my Summit. Granted, that is a matter of opinion. I know that my Weber maintains low temps better than the DCS, but can't reach the high temps as well as the DCS. My Weber sears fine at 750 degrees, but I believe the DCS is supposed to get over 1000 - not sure how hot my Dad's gets, because it doesn't have a built in thermometer.
It probably depends on how you like to cook. If getting your grill over 1000 degrees is important, go with the DCS. If you like to cook low and slow, and are OK with searing at a "mere" 750 degrees, get a Weber.
One thing to check out though - my Dad's DCS uses ceramic rods to distribute the heat. They disintegrate over time and have to be replaced every couple of years (and they are expensive). My Dad says he had to pay over 200 dollars to replace his. Webers flavorizer bars are much cheaper and last much longer.
