as a novelty, it's pretty neat but a weber kettle is more versatile and half the price (or less). You can do indirect cooking in the pk, but there's not a whole lot of surface area, so the meat has better be kind of small. I'm not certain that the pk has much room for ash to fall either. I'm sure it's fine for cooking burgers and steaks, but it just seems kind of pricey for a grill that does not do other things that great (smoking, indirect cooking). But it will last forever.
