I just bought myself a Weber One-Touch Silver 22" grill, I was sick of cooking on a gas grill. Anyhow, I just cooked my first meal on it, I made beer-can chicken. It turned out pretty damn good, but I have some questions, sorry if they seem stupid.
When I threw on my soaked hickory chips through the grates of the top grill, some of them caught on fire. I soaked them for over an hour. Any ideas?
After an hour, I had to add coals. I don't have the swing up top grill that's standard on the "Gold" model grills. Anyhow, I was using briquettes (non-match-light), is it preferred method to just add the coals to the existing coals, or to start them and THEN add them? I ended up starting them and adding them with tongs.
Thanks for any help.
