I have a Weber Genesis with stainless grates. After cooking, I run all three burners wide open for about fifeen minutes and let it get really hot then shut it down and let it cool. After it's cool I brush the grates with a wire brush. The food stuck to the grates has become charcoal and brushes off pretty easy. I have stainless flavorizer bars and use a wire brush on them every several cooks. My hood has a porcelain finish and I clean it with 409 or some other kitchen cleaner. The drip pan I also use a wire brush on when it gets dirty.
