In what way did the bottom drop out? The firebox is guaranteed for life, so if it let go of the aluminum drip pan, then Weber will replace the firebox. If it's just the aluminum drip pan that fell apart, then buy a new drip pan for 20 bucks or whatever it is. That's a lot cheaper than $500.
If you really want a new one, then keep the cast iron grates, because you can't buy those anymore. Your only alternative is to buy the grill at Home Depot where you can get Porcelain-coated cast iron grates.
