I've pretty much decided to get a Weber Summit grill, but am having trouble deciding which model to get. I've pretty much decided to get a platinum model, but stilll have a few nagging questions:
* 4 burner or 6?? -- I do not have a big family (just me and the wife, for now) but could imagine hosting barbecues with a bunch of people over (10+) -- will the 4 burner ever be a hindrance in terms of capacity? On the flipside, if I just want to cook a handful of chicken breasts for the wife and I will I have to fire up all 6 burners and use half a tank of propane?
* Is the side burner worth it -- I can't imagine ever using it, but I've never really barbecued so maybe I would -- what, if anything, do people use it for?
* Similar to my question above, is the smoker worth it? I've read mixed things about its effectiveness on this and various other forums, would I be better served just dropping several chunks of wood onto the flavorizer bars? Does the smoker burner (which is lower BTU) have any possible use in slow cooking ribs or some such?
Thanks!
