Hi,
My Sister in law has a Holland grill she uses to cook fresh ham on for the
holidays. It works OK for that and she is happy with the results. She does
a "set it and forget it" over nighter.
When we visited, she asked me to do hamburgers on it. I lit it off and let it
heat for about 30 min. then tossed the burgs on. The burgs never did
get sear marks and it took another 30 min. to cook them to medium rare.
That was OK for my wife and me but my inlaws then put there burgs on the
George Formann grill to finish cooking to their liking. The Holland just
never got hot enough to do anything other than slow roast.
If I were looking for a gas grill, I'd take a serious look at the upper end
Webers.
Good luck,
