This is how I used to do them, before I had a smoker... Take off the membrane and place in aluminum foil. Sprinkle lightly with your favorite rub. Place cut up apples and onions on top of the ribs. Pour your favorite BBQ sauce over and fold up foil. Cook them at 250, with only 2 burners on for 3 hours. Remove from foil and sauce and "firm up" on a 350º grill. This should only take about 15 minutes. Watch the sauce, it will burn.
