I personally don't care for the Holland's. I get to cook on one every year when on vacation.

They are more of an outdoor oven...in that they can't get over about 350-400º. Takes about 30 minutes to cook burgers and I can't imagine doing a steak on them. They operate at one temp only..no control for regulating the temp. Their big claim to fame is no flare-ups. That is true because the things don't get very hot.

So, they can't cook low and slow and they can't sear meat. That leaves me to question what good are they.

I would wait until another demo and watch them cook some steaks. Then I would ask them how to turn the heat down to cook ribs. See what they say.
