Dan, while I'm no expert, the grill is simply an oven that uses a different heat source. If it's a Weber, and you know how to use it,
I'd simply sear it and then cook it indirect at the same temp until the internal temp is where you want it.
At the very least, you'll get more grilled flavor. filet mignon is a little tricky on the grill, however, as most thick meats are.
