I need a new Weber Kettle. I've had what is now called the "silver" model for quite some time. I like the idea of the ash catcher of the "gold" and "platinums" My question, does the ash catcher hardware affect the breathing of the coals? Also, any opinions out there regarding the platinum vs. the gold? Look about the same to me except for the lid holder and table.
