I was out running around this morning looking at grills and I saw one nifty little feature on a Char-Broil. It had hooks that attached to the charcoal grate and hung it from the food grate. It had multiple hooks so you could move the charcoal grate up and down. It looks like these hooks could be used on any grill. I looked around the internet and couldn't find anyone selling them separately. Char-Broil's site isn't layed out very well and I couldn't find a parts listing. It seems like I could get a Weber 22.5" and buy a couple of these hangers and have the best of both worlds - a Weber kettle with adjustable height charcoal grate.
In any case, I'm going to wait a few weeks before getting a new grill. I suspect there'll be some big sales now that Labor Day has come and signaled the end of the season.
